Michael J. Hainer

Mike Hainer is a Registered Investment Advisor and Registered Representative of KCD Financial and holds the Series 6, 7, 63, 66 and 24 securities registrations, as well as state insurance licenses.  Mike works with all clients to help them achieve their financial goals. Mike also has considerable expertise in planning distributions from retirement plans (including 401(k) and 403(b) accounts and IRAs).  He has given numerous seminars and written articles on the topic. Mike is the author of Five Keys to Financial Freedom in Retirement, Business Week Magazine, June 2002, the article Required Minimum Distributions: An Analysis under the Final Regulations and the book, Living Trusts for Everyone: How to Protect You, Your Family and Your Assets.  Mike also works with many business owners to establish pension and profit sharing plans that maximize the benefit to owners and/or key management personnel.

Mike was on the Board of Directors at Oakland Hills Country Club for six years, serving as President in 2014.  Mike is also a Director of the Western Golf Association, which administers the Evans Scholars Program.  Out of high school, Mike himself was awarded an Evans Scholarship to attended the University of Michigan.  The Evans Scholars Foundation provides full, four-year tuition and housing college scholarships to deserving caddies who have a strong caddie record, excellent grades, financial need and outstanding character.  This academic year, there are 935 Evans Scholars attending school at 16 universities throughout the country.

Mike has appeared on WDIV “Due Process” television show to discuss estate planning topics, and is a lifetime member of the National Registry of Who's Who.

Mike graduated Cum Laude from University of Michigan Law School in 1983, where he served on the Michigan Law Review.  Before entering private practice, Mike was a law clerk to the Honorable Richard P. Matsch, a Federal District Court Judge in Denver, Colorado.  He also graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Michigan in 1978, with High Distinction and Honors in Economics.

Mike and his wife, Sue, have three adult daughters.  Mike is an avid sports fan who spends most of his leisure time playing golf an following his beloved Tigers and Wolverines.


Douglass J. Burgdorf

Doug Burgdorf is a Registered Investment Advisor and Representative of KCD Financial and holds the Series 6, 7, 63, 66 securities registrations, as well as state insurance licenses.  Doug primarily handles the investment management function at the firm.  He also works with the firm's clients who have or need to establish retirement plans.  He having given numerous seminars and written articles on that topic.

Doug graduated from University of Michigan as an undergraduate in 1994.  Doug also attended Michigan on the Evans Scholarship.  Doug received a Master's Degree in Finance from Wayne State University in 2000.  Doug received the CFP™ certification in 2004.

Doug and his wife, Amy, have a teenage son and daughter.  Doug is an avid sports fan who spends most of his leisure time playing golf and fishing with his family.
